The Team

Comprised of members of various industries and specializations, we here at SQ4D are committed to producing affordable, low-environmental impact housing and structures using automated building methods, centered right here in the U.S.A.

Bob Smith

President & Lead Designer

Having owned and operated an auto mechanic shop for 35 years, Bob is a master in the field. After developing an interest in 3D printing technology, he subsequently designed and created his own 3D printer, ultimately launching S-Squared. Along with Mario, he has now been fully immersed within the 3D printing industry for more than 5 years.

On a practical level, Bob is responsible for all machining matters with SQ4D. Without his hands-on approach, the invention of ARCS would not have been possible.

Bob instructs martial arts classes, as well as spends time with his family and motorcycles when he's away from work.

Mario Szczepanski

Chief Engineer

Mario is a seasoned engineer, having specialized in the areas of Optical, Electrical, and Mechanical engineering for over 35 years. Previously, he has lent his expertise to Grumman Aerospace, Hazeltine, and Lambro Industries, working as the Lead Engineer on their multimillion dollar Automated Assembly Systems project.

With SQ4D, Mario is in charge of all things design engineering. From the software created to run ARCS, to the physical materials printed to build, this all falls under his domain.

Outside of 3D printing and engineering, Mario spends his time with his family, cycling, and practicing martial arts.

Kirk Anderson

Director of Operations

Kirk Andersen is a graphic designer-turned-engineer with a passion for architecture and design. With over 10 years of carpentry & construction experience, he commands logical solutions while maintaining strong aesthetic value.

As Director of Operations, Kirk is responsible for optimizing production, staff management, and assessing the daily needs of the company - contributing at every tier.

When he isn’t working, you’ll find Kirk reading on the beach, wreaking havoc on the paintball field, or building a LEGO masterpiece.
